On 16th of November, within the framework of the Week of Tolerance 2017 UG hosted a public lecture on: “Tolerance in the Past and in the Present”.
UG professor, Mr. Timothy Barrett discussed the origins of the concept of toleration, as a principle of classical liberalism. He also spoke about tolerance in the 21st Century, the effect on human rights such as freedoms of expression and religion as well as modern trends such as hate crimes, political correctness, and diversity.
